2. Data We Collect / Данни, които събираме

2a. Data stored only in your browser (localStorage)

The Service saves the following preferences only in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• kolkostruva-locale — your selected display language (English or Bulgarian).
• kolkostruva-currency — your selected currency display (BGN / EUR / USD).
• cookie-consent — a flag recording that you acknowledged our cookie notice.

You can clear this data at any time via your browser's settings (Clear Site Data / Clear localStorage). No account deletion request is needed.

2b. Infrastructure logs (Cloudflare Pages)

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may automatically process standard web server information — including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited — for the purposes of security, DDoS mitigation, and network performance. This is handled entirely by Cloudflare as an independent data processor under their own privacy policy. We do not have access to individual log entries.

2c. Exchange rate API

To fetch live BGN/USD exchange rates, the Service makes server-side requests to open.er-api.com. These requests originate from our Cloudflare edge server, not from your browser. Your IP address is not shared with this service. Rates are cached for 6 hours.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly confirm that КолкоСтрува does not:

• Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information;
• Process payment information of any kind;
• Use analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, etc.);
• Use advertising or tracking pixels or third-party retargeting;
• Collect location data beyond what Cloudflare logs at infrastructure level;
• Create user profiles or track individual behaviour over time;
• Sell, rent, or share personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies / Бисквитки

We use only strictly necessary functional cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies.

Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Legitimate interest — these preferences are essential to provide the user experience you have selected. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.

5. Third-Party Services / Трети страни

The Service uses the following third-party services that may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) as part of their infrastructure:

When you load the Service, your browser may connect to Fontshare and CartoCDN servers to download fonts and map tiles. Your IP address will be visible to those providers under their respective privacy policies.

6. Your GDPR Rights / Вашите права по GDPR

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Bulgarian data protection law, you have the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15): You have the right to know what personal data we process about you. Since we process no PII on our servers, there is nothing to disclose beyond the Cloudflare infrastructure logs, which we cannot access on an individual basis.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17): All browser-stored data (localStorage) can be erased instantly by clearing your browser data. Contact us if you believe any server-side data requires erasure.
• Right to data portability (Art. 20):Your localStorage preferences can be exported via your browser's developer tools.
• Right to object (Art. 21): You may object to any processing we undertake. Given we collect no PII, this right is satisfied by discontinuing use of the Service.
• Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) at cpdp.bg or your local EU supervisory authority.

7. Data Retention / Срок на съхранение

We do not store personal data on our own systems. Browser-stored preferences (localStorage) are retained until you clear your browser data — we have no control over this. Cloudflare infrastructure logs are retained according to Cloudflare's own data retention schedule (typically a few days for raw logs).

8. Data Security / Сигурност на данните

The Service is served exclusively over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Cloudflare provides DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and additional security measures at the infrastructure level. No sensitive personal data is transmitted to or from the Service.

9. Children's Privacy / Поверителност на децата

The Service is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will promptly address the situation.

Услугата не е насочена към лица под 16 години. Не събираме съзнателно лична информация от деца.

10. International Users / Международни потребители

The Service is operated from Bulgaria within the European Union. If you access the Service from outside the EU, please be aware that your connection passes through Cloudflare's global network, which may involve servers in multiple jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to this as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the EEA, as we do not collect personal data on our own systems.

11. Changes to This Policy / Промени в политиката

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will be revised when changes are made. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
